Rooms
Each of our four rooms is built as a freestanding round ‘funco’, the traditional architectural style of Chã das Caldeiras, with views of the volcano. Our funcos feature a double bed, a private bathroom, and a private shaded terrace. With our high-speed Wi-Fi, you stay connected at any time.
Funco Du Santos is completely off-grid: we generate our energy with solar panels and collect rainwater in an underground tank. The hotel is situated outside the main village, giving it a quiet location. The village of Portela is a 5-minute walk away, where you will find restaurants and minimarkets.
The price per room including breakfast is CVE 6.000,- per night for 2 people. For one person, the price is CVE 5.500,-. We accept VISA and Mastercard.

Restaurant
In our restaurant, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner with a view of the Pico do Fogo volcano. Sisters Jamila and Jany prepare the most delicious local dishes for you, whether with fish or meat, or vegetarian or vegan. Vegetables come partly from our own land, located on the outskirts of Chã das Caldeiras in the fertile and green Monte Velha.
We have an extensive selection of local wines and spirits. Want to taste first? A wine tasting is possible!
